The 21st mod, Altezza Fog Lights

Still very impressed with the Altezza Rear Lights mod, I first spotted Altezza style fog lights on Kreecher's motor and thought they would be a perfect match (click any photo here to enlarge it):

UK suppliers of these are a bit limited (and so are the American ones to be honest), here are the prices I was able to find:

• eBay: £49.54 (from America)
• PT Company: £45.50
• Auto Truck Toys: £42.03 (from America)
• PT Cruiser Store: £37.50

However, I had a stroke of luck. While looking for the best price, ReetPT said he had a set for sale. There was a small hole drilled into the back of each lens where he had strobe lights fitted but other than that, they were in perfect nick. The drilled hole would come in handy for a mod I had in mind at a later date so it wasn't really a problem, chrome bungs seal the holes for now.

Another straight forward mod to do, simply unscrew the old lenses, remove the bulb holders, plug the bulb holders into the new lenses and fit them back to the car. I put some chrome paint on the black Torx screws to make things a bit shinier. One thing to note, you will need a red coloured bulb for the fog light as the OEM bulbs are both clear.

Update 19/04/08: These lights have now been modified to Twin Fog & Reversing Lights.

Update 21/04/08: The bulbs in these lights have now been replaced with massive LED Fog Light Bulbs.

Also a minor change to the blog, photos will now be centered, plus this (and all future modification posts) will be named "The 21st mod, Mod Name" rather than "The twenty first modification, Mod Name" as it's getting a bit long winded in the headline!
