The 24th mod, Chrome Tailpipe Trim

If there was one thing letting this car down, it was the dull (formerly chrome) and dowdy exhaust tailpipe:

Well, all that's changed now, courtesy of Don, aka Eastcoast Cruiser!

Don mentioned on the UKC forums that the supermarket chain Lidl was selling chrome tailpipe trims for the princely sum of £4.99 - bargain:

Alas, after a 40+ mile round trip to two Lidl stores, neither of them had any left. Don to the rescue again, he very kindly picked one up for me from his local store and posted it over (so yes, I owe him a beer!).

The oval shaped tailpipe trim simply slides on over the existing tailpipe and stays put with the aid of a massive Jubilee Clip:

It's also bloody shiny:

Once fitted, the back end of the car now looks ten times better (but it needs a wash!):

Thanks again Don!
